RNA Interference products from Dharmacon

Dharmacon uses a rational design algorithm based on dozens of experimentally-defined parameters detailing structural and sequence-specific characteristics of siRNAs that, when taken together, can virtually assure the design of a highly functional gene silencing reagent.

SMARTselection designed siRNAs are available either as individual siRNAs or as a SMARTpool® reagent, which is a pool of four siRNAs targeting different regions of the same gene. All SMARTpool® reagents are guaranteed to silence at the mRNA level by at least 75% when used under standard cell culture conditions.
Dharmacon's siGENOME™ siRNA is a comprehensive collection that now offers guaranteed SMARTpool® siRNA reagents and individual SMARTselection™ designed siRNAs targeting all unique human, mouse, and rat genes in the NCBI RefSeq database, currently numbering over 300,000. The siGENOME collection offers formats, quantities and prices to suit the needs and budgets of laboratories of any size.

Dharmacon's siRNA Libraries collections consist of guaranteed SMARTpool® reagents and individual SMARTselection™ designed siRNA reagents that target sets of genes belonging to a particular gene family or metabolic pathway. The siARRAY collection offers flexible SMARTpool® and plating formats.

Researchers may order custom RNA and custom siRNA based on their own sequences. Dharmacon also provides the siDESIGN™ Center, a free advanced siRNA design tool which allows researchers to design their own siRNA reagent.

Scientists from Pierce, the leader in Western Blotting technologies, have teamed with Dharmacon, the leader in RNAi technology, to create siRNA/Ab modules and a chemiluminescent detection module optimized for the specific knock-down of mRNA transcripts and detection of the effect on protein expression via Western blotting.
