Solvents for HPLC Analysis 
Pierce HPLC solvents such as trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), formic acid and heptafluorobutyric acid (HFBA) are purified and tested to the highest standards, then packaged in amber glass and PTFE containers to ensure quality and consistency of performance.

Acetonitrile, LC/MS grade 
LC-MS grade acetonitrile purified and tested to ensure lot-to-lot consistency and low UV absorbance to provide the most sensitive detection across all wavelengths. 


Dimethylformamide (DMF), Sequanal grade 
Ideal for HPLC based peptide and protein sequencing and analysis! 


Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), Sequanal grade 
A highly stable solvent developed for use in amino acid analyzers 


Formic Acid 
High-Purity Formic Acid 1 ml Ampules are a convenient, contamination-free alternative for preparing elution solvents for HPLC separations of proteins and peptides. 


Heptafluorobutyric Acid (HFBA) 
An ion-pair reagent for the reverse-phase HPLC seperation of proteins and peptides. Sequencing reagent for classical and automated Edman degradation of peptides and proteins. 


Pyridine 
Ideal for HPLC based sequencing and analysis of proteins and peptides. 


TFA (Trifluoroacetic Acid) 
Prepare 1 liter of fresh 0.1% Trifluoroacetic acid in seconds with 1 ml TFA ampules! >99.5% TFA purity and low UV absorbance allow sensitive peptide detection. 


Triethylamine (TEA) 
Ideal for HPLC seperation and analysis of peptides. Can be used in a weak anion exchange HPLC method as an alternative to resolving tryptic peptides on a reverse-phase column. 


Water, LC/MS grade 
LC-MS grade water specially purified and tested to ensure consistent, minimal absorbance in the UV range.
