Endogen’s Human IFNγ ELISPOT (enzyme-lined immunospot) Kit analyzes interferon gamma (IFNγ) production at the single cell level. A spot forms at the site where secreted cytokine is bound, is counted (either using a dissection microscope or automated ELISPOT reader) and then compared to the number of cells added to the microplate. This allows the frequency of cells secreting the cytokine to be calculated. One spot is equal to one molecule-secreting cell.
Features and Benefits:
- Consistent Membrane Coating - stringent quality control procedures ensure well-to-well and within-well consistency
- Optimal Plate Blocking - an optimized blocking procedure increases signal-to-noise ratios and lowers background values
- Well-Characterized Antibody Pairs - specific, high-affinity antibody pairs provide optimal sensitivity
- Ease-of-Use - pre-coated plates, pre-titered reagents, and a simple assay procedure make testing simple
- Short Assay Time - development of spots is completed in just 2 ½ hours following cell culture, offering fast, accurate results
