Easily prepare your own high-performance fluorescent probes.
The DyLight Antibody Labeling Kits provide for fast and efficient fluorescent labeling of antibodies for use in fluorescence methods. Choose a kit for labeling with any one of nine popular DyLight Fluorescent Dyes, which have absorption spectra ranging from 400 nm to 770 nm and match the principal output wavelengths of common fluorescence instrumentation. DyLight Conjugates exhibit higher fluorescence intensity and photostability than Alexa Fluor*, Cy* and LI-COR* Dyes in many applications and remain highly fluorescent over a broad pH range.
Standard and microscale kit sizes are offered for each DyLight Fluor. The standard size Antibody Labeling Kits contain all necessary components to perform three separate labeling reactions using 1 mg of IgG or similar quantities of other proteins. The Microscale Antibody Labeling Kits contain all the necessary components to perform five separate labeling reactions using 100 µg of IgG. Both kits sizes include the amine-reactive, DyLight NHS-ester Reagent in convenient single-use vials, as well as purification resin and spin columns for preparation of ready-to-use conjugate.
Labeling Kit Highlights:
- Fast – label and purify antibody with any DyLight Fluor in about one hour
- Amine-specific labeling – the NHS-ester DyLight Dyes efficiently label antibodies and other purified proteins at primary amines (-NH2)
- Optimized procedure – following the standard protocol results in antibodies with excellent dye:protein ratios for optimum activity and fluorescence
- Single-use DyLight Reagent – no need to weigh tiny amounts of reagent powder; kits provide separate, single-use vials of reagent
- Efficient purification – kits include purification resin and easy-to-use spin columns, ensuring rapid and efficient removal of non-reacted dye and excellent protein recovery
DyLight Fluorophore Highlights:
- Bright fluorescence – intense emission provides superior sensitivity and requires less conjugate
- Narrow emission spectra – negligible bleed-through between fluorophore channels enables multi-color detection
- Excellent photostability – exceptional resistance to photobleaching enables fluorescence imaging under the most demanding conditions (e.g., structured illumination, 4Pi microscopy)
- Buffer stability – conjugated fluorophores are completely stable at pH 4-9
- Instrument compatibility – excitation and emission spectra correspond with filter sets and laser settings of all popular fluorescence instrumentation
