Thermo Scientific Reacti-Vap Evaporators are gassing manifolds designed as accessories to Reacti-Therm Heating Modules for attachment to a supply of inert gas (nitrogen or argon) to enable needle-directed dry-down of liquid reaction samples. The manifolds split the incoming flow of gas into 9 or 27 needle ports that point downward into open sample vials placed in compatible Reacti-Block Aluminum Blocks. All 9 or 27 ports can be used at once or selective ports can be capped off with the supplied plugs. Reacti-Vap Evaporator (9-port). This manifold is designed for use with Reacti-Therm I Heating/Stirring Modules (single block). Reacti-Vap Evaporator (27-port). This evaporator manifold is designed for use with Reacti-Therm III Heating/Stirring Modules (triple block). Highlights: Two models – choose 9-port or 27-port model for compatibility with single-block and triple-block Reacti-Therm Modules, respectively Complete accessories – units supplied with manifold, support rod, mounting bracket and screws (for attachment to Reacti-Therm Modules), 9 plugs and complete sets of 2.5 inch (64 mm), 16-gauge stainless steel needles Integrated pressure-relief valve – protects against excessive gas-flow, which can spill samples, and dangerous pressure build up Easy set-up – attach to corresponding Reacti-Therm Module, attach tubing from gas supply, and lower into position over samples and start gas flow Replacement needles and plugs – accessory packs of needles and plugs are available, as well as sets of longer, black-PTFE coated 19-gauge needles Applications: General sample incubation and evaporation in a variety of tube and vial sizes Silylation, alkylation and acylation derivatization reactions for GC sample preparation   Reacti-Vap Needles and Plugs.
