Thermo Scientific Pierce Magnetic Beads are high-performance, superparamagnetic particles that are designed and validated for use with automated magnetic particle processors, such as the Thermo Scientific KingFisher Flex Magnetic Particle Processor.

The KingFisher Processor runs Thermo Scientific BindIt Software to automate entire procedures. Magnetic beads are incubated, washed and efficiently transferred from well to well according to the procedure to provide reproducible results and excellent recovery. Here we provide optimized BindIt Protocol files to install and direct protein purification procedures on the KingFisher Instrument with Pierce Magnetic Beads.

  1. Download the following file directory (less than 100KB): *** BindIt-Protocols.zip ***
  2. Unzip the file directory on your computer.
  3. Search the table below to identify the individual protocol to install.
  4. In the Home menu of the BindIt Software, click Import on the action panel to open the Import Data dialog box.
  5. Click Browse to select the file (.bdz) that you want to import from a directory.
  6. Select the desired file, and click Open.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the location to which you wish to import the protocol. You can also create a new folder, and rename it.
  9. Click Finish. A message appears on the toolbar indicating if the import was successful.
