Triple luciferase assays, cell imaging and neuron development

A new product article, summarizes results on the use of three spectrally-resolvable luciferase reporters and high-content immunofluorescence cellular imaging to monitor phenotypic changes in neuronal precursor cell lines following retinoic acid-induced differentiation. The study focuses on the roles of suppressor of zeste 12 (SUZ12, cloned with Cypridina luciferase) and retinoic acid response elements (RAREs, cloned with Gaussia luciferase) during differentiation of NCCIT and SH-SY5Y cells. A third reporter, Red firefly luciferase, cloned to CMV, is used to normalize results from the test reporters.
