ROCKFORD, Ill. (January 19, 2012) – Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, today announced the addition of the Thermo Scientific™ Pierce™ 96-well Microdialysis Plate with a 3.5K molecular weight cut-off. The microdialysis plates are ideal for removing low molecular-weight contaminants, performing small-volume buffer exchange and desalting samples.
The Pierce 96-well Microdialysis Plates offer a convenient device for dialysis of up to 96 samples at one time and are an excellent choice for 10- to 100-microliter samples. Sample recoveries of greater than 90 percent are typical.
The Pierce 96-well Microdialysis Plates contain a regenerated cellulose membrane that provides a short diffusion distance and large surface area for rapid dialysis. The single-use devices require no centrifuge or beakers and are compatible with 96-well laboratory equipment and liquid handling systems. Sample addition and removal are easily performed with standard laboratory pipettes.
