These Fast Western Blot Kits require minimal hands-on time and yield results comparable to classic Western blotting with SuperSignal West Pico Chemiluminescent Substrate.The kits contain all the reagents necessary to complete a Western blot being probed with either a mouse or rabbit primary antibody. Like other Western blotting methods, the included SuperSignal West Pico Substrate produces a signal that is detectable using photographic or other imaging methods. The developed blots can be repeatedly exposed and stripped of the primary antibody and reprobed.

The Pierce Fast Western Blot Kits are reagent-based system that provide optimized reagents for blocking, antibody dilution and detection of Western blots. The Fast Western Blot Kit protocol is quick and efficient method for developing Western blots without the need to purchase expensive instrumentation and consumables required by other popular rapid Western blotting systems.
Classic vs. fast Western protocol using Thermo Scientific SuperSignal West Pico Substrate. 293T cell lysate was diluted in reducing sample buffer and loaded to a gel. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to nitrocellulose and PVDF membranes using the Thermo Scientific Pierce Fast Semi-Dry Blotter for 10 minutes at 25V. Half of both membranes was developed using the classic Western protocol, and the other half was developed using the fast Western protocol. XIAP detection: The blots were probed with mouse anti-XIAP antibody (1µg/mL, BD Pharmingen), incubated in SuperSignal West Pico Substrate Working Solution for 5 minutes and exposed to film for 1 minute. TSC1 detection: The blots were probed with mouse anti-TSC1 antibody (1/1000 dilution, Cell Signaling Technology), incubated in SuperSignal West Pico Substrate Working Solution for 5 minutes and exposed to film for 5 minutes.
