Thermo Scientific Slide-A-Lyzer MINI Dialysis Device Floats are low density polyethylene (LPDE) rafts designed to securely hold up to 25 Slide-A-Lyzer MINI Dialysis Devices, 0.1mL to permit array dialysis.
Slide-A-Lyzer MINI Dialysis Device Floats have labeled rows (A to E) and columns (1 to 5) for easy tracking of individual samples. These floats are intended to hold Slide-A-Lyzer MINI Dialysis Devices (0.1mL size only), whose bottom surfaces are a dialysis interface composed of a cellulose membrane barrier. The float holds the devices so that the bottoms contact the solution in which they are floated for dialysis. Although the floats can be used as water bath floats for microcentrifuge tubes, they are not designed or recommended for this purpose, and the LPDE material is not suitable for use at temperatures greater than 50°C.
Highlights:
- Flexible format – enables user to dialyze a single sample (tube) or multiple samples (25 array)
- Reusable – inert, low density polyethylene (LPDE) construction is compatible with most aqueous buffer conditions, and the floats can be washed and reused many times
- Indexed – easy-to-read column and row labels make it simple to keep track of the identity of different samples
