BMDB

Thermo Scientific Pierce BMDB is a mid-length, periodate-cleavable, maleimide crosslinker for covalent but reversible conjugation between sulfhydryl groups (e.g., protein or peptide cysteines).

Highlights:

• Crosslinks sulfhydryl-containing compounds under mild conditions
• Specific reactivity with -SH groups at pH 6.5-7.5
• Crosslinks reversed by treatment with 15 mM sodium periodate
• Cleavable by Sodium meta-Periodate (Product # 20504)
• Reactive Groups: maleimide (homobifunctional)
• Reactive toward: sulfhydryl groups
