Fluorescent detection of glycoproteins following SDS-PAGE separation

About the Krypton Glycoprotein Staining Kit:

The Krypton Glycoprotein Stain exhibits sensitivity equivalent to, or greater than, other fluorescent glycoprotein stains and uses well-established periodate-oxidation chemistry that preferentially (15- to 20-fold more binding to glycoproteins) reacts with glycoproteins. This mild oxidation process creates a functional group on glycoproteins which can then be reacted with the Krypton Glycoprotein Stain Reagent.

Thermo Scientific Krypton Glycoprotein Stain provides a fast and sensitive method for detecting glycoproteins in polyacrylamide gels. A mixture of proteins, contains glycosylated and nonglycosylated proteins was stained with Krypton Glycoprotein Stain followed by total protein staining with Krypton Protein Stain (Product # 46630). Lanes 1-6 contain a mixture of the indicated proteins at the following concentrations: Lane 1: 500ng, Lane 2: 250ng, Lane 3: 125ng,  Lane 4: 63ng, Lane 5: 31ng and Lane 6: 15ng.
